South Downs Planetarium

& Science Centre

Terms and Conditions

While the number of COVID cases remains high and rising, everybody must continue to act carefully and remain cautious.

Doors open 45 minutes before the start times of the listed public shows. Audience sizes are still being restricted to enable a degree of social distancing and there will be no ticket sales at the door or cash sales.

Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the advertised start time so that we have time to get everyone to their pre-assigned seats in the auditorium and start the show on time.

We are asking you to read the information below about the precautions we shall be asking you to follow during your visit and to watch a video and to then indicate your agreement to follow this guidance before you can book.

On arrival, you are encouraged to check in using the NHS Covid-19 app on your phone and the test and trace QR code poster.

Professor Chris Whitty, England’s Chief Medical Officer has stated that masks and face coverings should be worn in enclosed spaces, when mixing with people you don't normally meet. This applies inside the Planetarium. Consequently, we are requesting that everyone over 11 years of age wears a mask or face covering when visiting the Planetarium. Those with breathing difficulties or disabilities are asked to wear a visor.

Hand sanitizers are available inside the main entrance and elsewhere around the building for the use of visitors and volunteers.

Once inside, your names will be checked off the list of attendees and you will be ushered into a waiting area where we ask that social distancing is maintained between family groups.

Please follow the instructions of volunteers and observe the safe distancing markers and one-way systems when queuing and moving around the building.
