About This Show

A timeless mystery for the Christmas season. This is a cosmic detective story, a journey back in time to see the night sky of over 2000 years ago.

What was the bright object that drew the Wise Men from the East, the event that heralded the birth of Christ? What was the Star of Bethlehem?

What was the famous Star in the East that guided the Wise Men to the birthplace of Christ? This show presents an astronomical detective story, exploring the various possibilities for the Christmas Star. Was it a star, a bright planet, a rare grouping of planets, an exploding star, a bright comet, a spectacular shower of shooting stars, or an exceedingly rare display of the Northern Lights?
